What makes us better?

Our core business is the delivery of security assessment services. We are product independent, with no hidden agenda. We do not sell firewalls, logging solutions or intrusion detection systems. But we do evade them, frequently.
Our pen tests include the very best of freeware, commercial and manual testing technologies, backed by a variety of internationally recognised standards and qualifications such as OSSTMM & OWASP. This helps us to identify more complex issues that simple vulnerability scanning will miss.
We do not charge for the initial automated stages of remote security assessments. You only pay for the actual time taken by a qualified consultant in the later stages of the project.
We provide free-of-charge re-tests to ensure corrective actions have been successfully implemented.
We utilise internationally recognised vulnerability scoring mechanisms to ensure our reports are accurate and objective, and provide you with the information you need to prioritise your corrective efforts efficiently.
All of our testing staff hold qualifications recognised by NCSC as technically equivalent to CHECK Team Leader and/or Member.

Penetration Testing

Penetration testing is Sec-Tec's core business; we perform over 100 bespoke penetration testing projects every year for organisations of all sizes. Whether you are an experienced buyer or new to the field, we will explain the pros, cons, options and limitations of this field, and work with you to scope the best solution to your needs.

Virtual Security Team

The Virtual Security Team (VST) allows organisations to call on Sec-Tec as needed for a wide range of services, without the headache of raising individual purchase orders. Organisations purchase a number of days up-front, whilst enjoying a sizeable discount on ad hoc day rates.

Fixed Price PSN Health Checks

Organisations connected to the PSN (Public Services Network) require regular assessment of technical information security controls in place, and guidance as to how these controls can be improved to reduce technical risk. We understand that public sector procurement can be a minefield, so we offer a range of simple fixed price PSN Health Checks, inclusive of all expenses, based on the number of external systems to be tested.
